Frequently Asked Questions

We look forward to welcoming you! We know that walking into a new situation can be intimidating, so here are some common questions; if you have others, please email us.

  • We believe that God loves you — no exceptions.

  • Expect to be greeted with a smile and to be surrounded by a friendly community that joyfully welcomes newcomers. Please sit in a pew in the sanctuary, wherever feels most comfortable to you.

The printed bulletin has the order of service that includes everything you need if you wish to follow along.

  • We don’t expect anything. We hope that you will feel comfortable in God’s space, and we hope that you will ask any of us any questions you might have.

  • Our service, which includes music, lasts about an hour.

Sometimes we stand, sit, kneel, sing, say prayers together. You’re welcome to participate following the printed service bulletin – or not. Please worship as it feels right to you.

  • Dress comfortably for you. Some people dress in their Sunday best while others dress casually.

  • Yes! We welcome all ages in worship. We embrace the noises and wiggles of infants and toddlers, and we make accommodations for younger parishioners and their caregivers.

  • Our service is divided into two parts: the Liturgy of the Word, which centers around appointed readings from Scripture, and the Liturgy of the Table, which centers around Communion.

  • Communion is the act of joining with God and each other at the altar, where we receive the bread and wine. The altar is God’s table, and all are welcome.

  • We gather in the Parish Hall for beverages, snacks, and conversation. We hope you’ll join us!
